Nicola Modolo

Nicola Modolo was born in Venice, Italy, on September 2nd, 1993. He received the Master’s degree (Cum Laude) in Electronic Engineering from the University of Padua, Padua, Italy, in 2019.

He completed the Exchange Student program at National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan in the Department of Electronics Engineering and Institute of Electronics from February to July, 2018.

From October 2018, to June 2019, he worked as Research Student at the National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan in the International College of Semiconductor Technology where he completed his Master Thesis with title: Physics-Based Compact Model for p-GaN/AlGaN/GaN devices; Application: Understanding of Degradation After gamma-Ray Irradiation.

He is currently working as Ph.D. student with ACME Lab at the University of Padua where he is studying reliability and failure mechanisms of GaN-based semiconductor devices for power electronics applications in collaborations with Infineon Technologies, Villach, Austria.
